1. Airway Anatomy: Identification of key landmarks from the oral cavity to the trachea. 2. Manual Maneuvers: Mastery of head-tilt/chin-lift and jaw-thrust techniques to open obstructed airways. 3. Basic Adjuncts: Sizing and correct insertion of oropharyngeal (OPA) and nasopharyngeal (NPA) airways. 4. Bag-Mask Ventilation (BMV): Achieving a proper mask seal using one-hand (E-C clamp) and two-hand techniques. 5. Suctioning Protocols: Safe clearance of blood, vomit, or secretions using rigid and flexible catheters. 6. Predicting Difficult Airways: Assessment models like LEMON (Look, Evaluate, Mallampati, Obstruction, Neck mobility). 7. Supraglottic Devices: Insertion and verification of rescue devices like the Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA). 8. Direct Laryngoscopy: Introduction to handling the laryngoscope blade and visualizing the vocal cords for endotracheal intubation.
